A gap still persists within gifted education
Despite numerous efforts to address the underrepresentation of diverse students, those with disabilities, and students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, a gap still persists within gifted education. We can work together to tackle this issue by using a combination of identification methods, including positive psychology modules, with middle grade students (4-8).
This innovative initiative is based on emerging research highlighting the importance of understanding giftedness from an emotional/affective perspective, especially among individuals from diverse backgrounds.
