This module is designed for students to explore what inspires them and how to harness it to pursue meaningful goals. Students will engage in activities encouraging self-discovery, reflect on their interests and passions, and visually represent what motivates them. They’ll discuss the concept of inspiration, watch a brief video on influential figures, and explore ways to find inspiration in everyday life. Let’s begin this journey of uncovering the unique sources of inspiration that drive each of us. Time Required: 30-45 minutes.
Objectives:
This session aims to empower students to discover what truly inspires them by exploring inspiring individuals and reflecting on personal interests and passions. We will delve into the concept of inspiration, learning how it can spark creativity, motivate learning, and fuel personal growth. Through engaging activities, such as researching role models and reflecting on their qualities, students will identify sources of inspiration and learn how to apply these qualities in their own lives. By the end of this workshop, students will have a foundation for setting meaningful goals and cultivating a positive, inspiring outlook that supports lifelong learning and self-belief. The “Maintaining Inspiration” module empowers students to nurture and sustain motivation in both personal and academic settings. Students will set meaningful goals and embrace a growth-oriented mindset. Grades 6-8 students craft “Inspiration Jars,” capturing motivational messages and reflecting on strategies to overcome obstacles. Integrating Locke’s Goal Setting Theory and Dweck’s Growth Mindset, the workshop provides diverse activities that help students identify and pursue specific, challenging goals. By the end, students will have gained valuable skills to foster ongoing inspiration, resilience, and personal growth. Time Required: 30-45 minutes.
